Contactless excitation of ultrasound in metals and magnetics.

Novel methods for ultrasound excitation in magnetic materials is used. Transverse, longitudinal, Lamb waves velocities are measured with high accuracy from resonance frequencies. Sample shape is a thin disk.

Elastic properties of semimagnetic semiconductors.

Elastic constants of semimagnetic semiconductors A1-xBxMnO3 (A is rare earth, B - 2+ metal) were investigated as a function of content x, temperature and magnetic field.

Magnetic properties of intermetallics.

Magnetic properties of intermetallics (Kondo-magnets, heavy fermions systems etc.) are investigated.

Magnetic structures in rare-earth metals.

We are focused on the interplay of magnetic, electronic and crystalline systems of rare-earth metals with long-periodic magnetic structures (helical, sine etc.).
